Ed Waits 4th Annual RC Conf

June 24, 2015

This fourth annual lectureship is named for a respected pioneer in respiratory care in this area of the southeastern United States, Mr. Ed Waits.  He began simple oxygen therapy in the mid-60’s and introduced innovation in all the important modalities of mechanical ventilation and nebulizer medication delivery over the ensuing decades as head of the emerging department known simply as “Respiratory Care.”  He has trained many, many active practitioners of this important discipline and supported general and pulmonary practices and critical care providers, including nurses and physicians.

Welcome to this medical education site

Princeton Baptist Medical Center has established, under the able leadership of Dr. Mel Glenn, this annual lectureship aimed at resident and attending physicians, respiratory care practitioners, nurses, and other allied healthcare workers.  It is sponsored in part by a grant from the American Pulmonary Medicine Institute of Birmingham.
